The West Harlem Art Fund has just partnered with Staten Island Arts. The two groups have been in talks for almost a year. A call to digital artist will occur in late May for the organization’s July segment of Under the Viaduct. This collaboration is to help two communities that want to build arts appreciation across many disciplines. Staten Island Focus should be very exciting.
Staten Island Arts was founded in 1992 and is Richmond County’s local arts council. Its mission is to cultivate a sustainable and diverse cultural community for the people of Staten Island by: making the arts accessible to every member of the community; supporting and building recognition for artistic achievement; and providing artists, organizations, and arts educators the technical, financial, and social resources to encourage artistic production.
Digital works will be curated by Savona Bailey-McClain, Artistic Director for Under the Viaduct.
