The West Harlem Art Fund is pleased to have dance/choreographer Kiki Williams as apart of our lineup. She will bring contemporary, modern dance to the West Harlem Piers as apart of our intervention series.
Kiki Williams, a Los Angeles native, began dancing at the age of 14. After attending the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, she went on to train for four years at the Ohio State University, graduating with a BFA in dance. It was there she had the opportunity to work with Bebe Miller, Susan Hadley, and international choreographers, Olivier and Esther Baker-Tarpaga. Kiki now lives in Brooklyn, NY, where she is a member of Dante Brown|Warehouse Dance, as well as Jamal Jackson Dance Company. She has been fortunate enough to present her own work in Jersy City’s Your Move, as well as to perform in works by Kendra Portier, Jenna Riegel, Daniel Holt, Stefanie Nelson, and more. After a hiatus from choreographing to pursue active involvement in company work and personal growth as a dancer, Kiki is ecstatic about creating work once again, and strives to create movement that is physically-dynamic, engaging, and above all else, honest.
